feathery beginnings issue #1

For years I had a logo, a website and business cards, but it feels like today is the day when I launch out properly.

Ironic really, as fledgling is all about helping people venture from the safety of their nest and soar to new heights. I have been doing this one-2-one and through occasional retreats over the years, but 2026 feels like a new flight path is emerging.

This year I have two friends to collaborate and co-create with to maximise the fun, share the work, and celebrate the successes.

Rose, Jaz, and I are all writers, creators, deep-diving conversationalists, and ponderers who have a desire to grow a community of support. A community that helps the creative juices flow for us and for other women for the long-term.

You are one of those women.

Now before you mutter, say, our shout-out "I am not creative," you most certainly are my friend. Every single person in this world is creative, approaching life in a unique way, forging a path that only they can. Sharing our many and varied ways of creativity inspires and generates more creativity.

how we are starting

We are offering five in-person gatherings from February to November 2026 at Peacemakers Retreat Centre, interspersed with informal online meetings.

Our hope is the spaces we gather will become co-learning events, where anyone can volunteer to contribute, but no-one has too. Full permission is given to show up as you are and be as present as you are able, all on behalf of your wonderful creative self.

There will be no competing or judging or feeling less than. Our space will be a safe container with clear guidelines to enable you to relax, be yourself and discover the nourishment that you need.

Our retreat page is currently under development and details are being added almost daily. Jaz is behind this one and loves to tinker, so I can promise you there will be ongoing changes.
